Abstract

In this talk I will discuss the state of 3D stellar modeling with an emphasis on interior evolution. Two extreme aspects of stellar convection will be discussed and contrasted, including: (1) the dynamics associated with quasi-static evolution, such as main sequence hydrogen burning; and (2) the vigorous dynamics characteristic of supernova progenitor stars immediately preceding core collapse.
